From 17th July to 17th August the Panacea Museum will be the focus of a research study by undergraduate student Astrid Westlake.
Any visitors onsite taking part will have their comments anonymised.
I’m Astrid - a second year undergraduate at Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge, specialising in social anthropology within my degree of human, social and political sciences. I will be joining the Panacea for 4 weeks of research from July 17th onwards - and I cannot wait to get started.
I am interested in finding out about how the history of the society translates to today, with a special interest in how employees and volunteers interpret the teachings. I am also looking to find out what space the Panacea today takes up in the historical imagination of both employees, volunteers and visitors!
Please do not hesitate to stop me for a chat about my research - I would love that. All of my research is completely voluntary so please let me know if you would not like your words to be included. I have also been trained in research ethics and have regulations in place on my research which I am happy to go into detail of if you are unsure at any point.
Thank you so much for this opportunity!
