Accessible Parking
Blue badge holders can park just outside the Museum gate on Newnham Road, or around the corner on Albany Road.
Additionally one parking space is allocated for wheelchair users next door, at 7 Newnham Road, Bedford. If you wish to use this facility please contact the museum before you visit on 01234 353178.
Accessible Entrance
There is an accessible entrance located to the right of the main museum gate. Wheelchair access to the main Museum building is via the side door- turn right after you enter the gate and this door can be found to the left of the fish pond.
The main building has a platform lift to all floors. If you require assistance, please ask at reception.
Accessible Toilets
There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor of the main museum building.
Museum Grounds
The main museum building is fully accessible, however access is limited in the grounds and other buildings which have steps, uneven surfaces and narrow doorways.
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are allowed anywhere in the Museum buildings and grounds.
Parent and baby friendly
The Panacea Museum welcomes families with young children and babies. A baby changing station can be found within our accessible toilet, and is wide enough to cater for prams and buggies.
