Since early this year, our Collections Officer Sharon Edwards has been leading a dedicated team of volunteers on a new project. As part of the Haven building renovations, all objects had to be removed and are now being cleaned and stored.

Over the past few months the volunteer team has scrubbed, polished, wrapped and boxed up hundreds of pieces including garden tools, domestic items, storage boxes and ephemera.
New Collections volunteer Bruna gets to work
This cleaning project is part of the wider plan to re-open the Haven building. This is the largest Campus building, visible from the intersection of Newnham Road and Castle Road. The refurbished house will include further displays, information and restored rooms.
