Parking
Blue badge holders can park just outside the Museum gate on Newnham Road, or around the corner on Albany Road.
Main museum building
There is an accessible entrance located to the right of the main museum gate. Wheelchair access to the main Museum building is via the side door- turn right after you enter the gate and this door can be found to the left of the fish pond.
The main building 'Castleside' has a platform lift to all floors, all floors and rooms in this building are accessible.
Toilets
There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor of the main museum building.
Museum grounds
Castleside and the Haven Tea Room are fully accessible. However, access is limited in the Gardens and the other buildings which have steps, uneven surfaces and narrow doorways.
Assistance dogs
Assistance and support dogs are allowed anywhere in the Museum buildings and grounds.
Parent and baby friendly
The Panacea Museum welcomes families with young children and babies. A baby changing station can be found within our accessible toilet in the main Museum building, and is wide enough to cater for prams and buggies.
