Risk Takers and History Makers

Risk Takers and History Makers is an HLF funded, Vote 100, schools and community engagement project in partnership with John Bunyan Museum and Bedford Chronicles. It will highlight Bedford’s hidden heritage, sharing the stories of four women who, over a 300yr period fought and struggled against the society and government, for justice or their faith and beliefs. The project will culminate in a two week exhibition at the museums.

Speakers will include: • Rupert Read - Green Politician and Philosopher • Jo Atherton - Environmental Artist • Aletheia Mashiri - Community Gardener • Athen Ayren– Greenpeace Greenspeaker • Jane Perrone- Freelance writer specialising in plants and gardens • Kezzabelle Ambler – Performance Poet There will be a range of stands including Abundance Bedford, Greenpeace, The Woodland Trust and Bedfordshire Climate Change Forum. Free workshops will include ‘Green Wishes’ ceramics for adults and children and ‘Museum Of The Future’ family quiz.
